Project support that fits what your project needs

A project can be excellent in content, but without clear direction, ownership and communication it can still get stuck.

ZAPB offers project support for organisations that need extra project capacity for a while. That can mean full leadership, as an interim project manager taking responsibility for progress. It can also mean targeted support on part of the project: the administrative side, coaching a team, or practical support alongside a project manager who's already in place. We look together at what's needed most at that moment.

From digitalisation and IT to organisational change and operations, on-site, hybrid or largely remote: depending on what the project needs.

Planning and project support
What we do

From first plan to successful delivery

Project support isn't just about keeping a schedule. It's about overview, decision-making, communication and making sure the project actually moves forward. That can be as a fully responsible project manager, or just as easily as an addition to a team that's already in place.

  • ✓
Planning & project structureWe bring structure to goals, scope, planning, milestones, dependencies and responsibilities: a realistic plan that works not just on paper, but in practice too.
  • ✓
Coordination & progressWe keep a close eye on progress, flag deviations early and make sure actions and decisions are followed up. Everyone knows where the project stands and what the next step is.
  • ✓
Stakeholder & team managementWe connect the client, stakeholders, internal teams, suppliers and other parties involved. Clear communication prevents surprises and helps bring different interests together.
  • ✓
Risks, issues & decision-makingWe surface risks and problems early. We make clear what's going on, what impact it has and which decision is needed to move forward.
  • ✓
Steering committee & reportingClear reports on progress, planning, risks, finances and decisions: not reporting for its own sake, but information clients can actually steer by.
  • ✓
Interim project leadershipNeed a project manager temporarily due to growth, peak workload, illness, departure or an open vacancy? ZAPB temporarily takes over project leadership and ensures continuity.
Full leadership or targeted support

You decide how big our role is

Not every project needs an external project manager who takes over everything. Sometimes that's exactly what's needed, sometimes there's only a need for help on a specific part. ZAPB scales with what's going on.

Full project leadership

We take on the role of interim project manager: full responsibility for planning, progress, stakeholders and results.

Targeted support

We take on just one part: the administrative side, coordination, coaching a team, or reporting to a steering committee.

Addition to your team

There's already a project manager, but extra capacity is needed for a while. We join alongside your existing team.

Experience with different methods

The approach has to fit the project

Not every project calls for the same method. Depending on the organisation, the type of project and the desired results, we work with PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum or a more traditional waterfall approach, among others. Combinations are also possible. For us, the method is never a goal in itself: the project outcome comes first.

Working remotely

100% remote project support as a starting point

ZAPB works from a modern, remote-first approach. Our services are set up so we can support you personally at a distance too: steering committees, progress meetings, reporting and coordination can largely or fully be carried out online. No distant service, but the freedom of working remotely.

When being there in person really adds value, for example at a kick-off or an important steering committee meeting, we of course look at what's needed together.

Where can we support?

From change to digitalisation

Project support can be needed in many different areas, and full project leadership isn't always required. Think of, for example:

  • Organisational change
  • Process improvement
  • Supplier and contract processes
  • Projects where multiple parties collaborate
  • Temporary project leadership or programme support
  • IT and digitalisation projects
  • Software and application projects
  • Cloud and infrastructure projects
  • Implementations, migrations and rolling out new systems

Even when a project is already underway and structure or progress is under pressure, we can step in.

Who is this for?

Sound familiar?

No project manager of your own

Your organisation doesn't have a permanent project manager in-house, but a project needs clear direction. We temporarily take over the leadership.

Temporary need

You need extra project capacity for a while, for example due to growth, peak workload, illness or an open vacancy. We ensure continuity.

Project has stalled

The project has started, but planning, responsibilities or decision-making are no longer clear. We bring structure back.

Complex project

Multiple teams, suppliers, stakeholders or interests are involved. We bring the parties together and keep the shared goal central.

How does it work?

Up and running in three steps

1

Introduction

We discuss the project, the reason behind it, the goals and what you're currently running into.

2

Intake & approach

We map out scope, stakeholders, planning, risks and preferred working method. From that follows a practical approach that fits your organisation and project.

3

Leadership & results

We get to work, steer on progress, keep stakeholders engaged and report clearly on the key developments.

Could your project use structure or extra leadership?

Whether you're looking for a project manager for a new project, need someone temporarily, or want to get an existing project back on track: tell us what you're running into. We'll think along, without obligation, about the best approach.
